Terminology used in this documentation.
viaEuropa ID - An unique ID which may be used to access services on the viaEuropa platform.
BNG - Short for British National Grid.
BNG2 - Used in viaEuropa to denote British National Grid with an alternative tile matrix.
British National Grid - A geographic grid system and map projection used in Great Britain. Uses the OSGB36 datum. EPSG code 27700.
EPSG - European Petroleum Survey Group. An organisation who have encoded spatial reference systems (SRS) or coordinate reference systems (CRS).
hash - Is an encoding of data into a small, fixed sized, unit of data.
OSMA - One Scotland Mapping Agreement. Now supersecded by the PSGA.
PSGA - Public Sector Geospatial Agreement.
PSMA - Public Sector Mapping Agreement. Now supersecded by the PSGA.
SPM - Short for Spherical Mercator. Also known as Web Mercator (EPSG: 3857).
