Map Previews

For any map layer supported as XYZ Tiles (or WMTS / WMS) in viaEuropa, you can request map preview, or thumbnail image, in PNG format.

The URL format for the request is as follows. You must replace the parameters shown in {curly-brackets}.
https://tile.viaeuropa.uk.com/{id}/{map}.png

where:
{id} is your viaEuropa ID
{map} is the ID of the required map layer. e.g. m0100 (see Reference/Map Inventory)

Both http and https are supported. The preview image is always 300x300 pixels.

For example:
